Presidential Inauguration

Plans are underway for the Inauguration of President-Elect Barack Obama as the 44th President of the United States on January 20, 2009.

Weather permitting, the ceremony will be held outdoors on the west side of the U.S. Capitol. Tickets for the Inaugural swearing-in ceremony will be distributed in January 2009 by both senators and representatives of the 111th Congress. Each office will receive a very limited number of tickets. The National Mall will be open to the general public to attend without tickets.

Due to an incredibly high demand from Missourians we are no longer accepting requests for tickets to the Inaugural ceremony or parade.  If you have already submitted a request for tickets, my office will be in touch with you in early January.

Additional information about the inaugural events is available on the Joint Congressional Committee on Inaugural Ceremonies’ website.
