Issues & Legislation

Issues/Legislation

The United States Senate addresses countless issues each year - everything from how the government spends tax dollars to developing and improving government policies and programs that deal with topics ranging from healthcare to agriculture to the environment. Whether it's happening in committee hearings or through legislation on the Senate floor, the U.S. Senate debates these issues, and many more, in an effort to pass carefully-considered policies that will benefit the American people.

The U.S. Senate is comprised of 100 members, and unlike the House of Representatives, each of the 50 states has equal representation sending two senators to Washington, D.C. I am proud to represent the great state of Missouri in the Senate, and regardless of what issue we are debating, I remain committed to protecting the interests of Missourians and promoting a government that is more accountable to its people.
