MORRIS TWP. -- The township has received $200,000 in funds from the state Department of Transportation to reconstruct Old Glen Road.
The work on Old Glen Road, and a section of Turtle Road, will begin next year and the $200,000 grant will be used to offset the total cost of these improvements, which is estimated at $1.1 million.
The improvements will include granite block curbing along both roads, minor road widening in various locations to assure constant road width, storm drainage, bike lanes, updated and revised street signage, striping and shade trees, officials said.
The construction plans and bid documents for these improvements will be prepared by the township Engineering Department. The construction inspection also is being provided by the department.
