Students

All of you are the key to our state's future. There are many opportunities for Montana students to learn more about our nation's government and to participate in the legislative process - internships and fellowships are available to participate in year-round. I like to accommodate as many people as possible but space is limited so please contact my office at least a semester in advance of when you'd like to help out in my office.

Internships

Internships are a wonderful way to gain a valuable insight into the world of public service. We are seeking candidates to fill available positions!

Pages

For more than 100 years, messengers known as Pages have served the United States Congress. Pages are appointed and sponsored by a member of Congress and must be high school juniors and at least sixteen years old. Senate Page duties consist primarily of delivery of correspondence and legislative material within the Congressional complex. Other duties include preparing the chamber for Senate sessions, and carrying bills and amendments to the desk. Pages also attend classes in the early morning at the United States Senate Page School. The Page School is accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools. Contact my office for more information on applying to be a Senate Page.
