Order a Flag Flown Over the Capitol

My office can arrange to have an American flag flown over the United States Capitol to honor special occasions, events, and holidays. To request a flag to be flown on your behalf, please complete the Flag Request Form and mail with check or money order to:

U.S. Senator Frank R. Lautenberg
Attn: Flag Coordinator
324 Hart Senate Building
Washington D.C. 20510

***Please Make Checks out to: Keeper of the Stationery***

Please understand time sensitivity when ordering flags through Senate offices.  For the best results, mail your order form to our office six weeks prior to specified fly date. Also, allow for 4-6 weeks after your requested fly date to receive your flag back from our office.  We make every effort to make this process as efficient and convenient as possible.  However, due to increased security screening, all Senate mail can take 4-5 weeks for delivery.

Please do not send requests more than five months in advance.

Flags cannot be flown on Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years day.

EXAMPLE: If you want to have a flag flown on March 1, you should send your order form on January 14.  From that order, expect to receive your flag back on April 14.
