DOLLARS SHOULD STILL FLOW TO OAK RIDGE
December 15 –"We don't know all of the details, the specifics of the Obama proposal for new energy for America," said U.S. Rep. Zach Wamp. "But, generally, when we invest in alternative energy sources, Oak Ridge fares very well because we are one of the premiere sites in the country on alternative energy, renewable energy, energy research in general." Fueling concerns that President-elect Obama may try to shift federal resources away from ORNL is that Argonne National Laboratory is located just outside of Obama's hometown of Chicago.
