56th Presidential Inauguration

Inauguration Ticket Request Deadline: December 5, 2008

Due to overwhelming demand and the need to permit Rhode Islanders to make travel arrangements, as of Friday, December 5th at noon, my office will no longer be able to accept ticket requests to the Inauguration of President-elect Barack Obama.

The limited number of tickets available for the inauguration means not every request can be fulfilled.

Those who contacted my office prior to December 5, 2008, will be informed in the near future whether or not it is possible to accommodate your ticket request.

PLEASE NOTE: Even if you do not receive an Inauguration ceremony ticket, you can still attend the event.

Traditionally, there are free parades and events throughout the city and the event organizers are expected to have a record number of public viewing areas and JumboTrons so everyone who wants to view the swearing in ceremony on the Mall can participate in this historic day.

Please feel free to visit the Senate's inauguration website and subscribe to their e-mail list to receive updates about Inauguration Day activities and events.

The Presidential Inaugural Committee is seeking volunteers for Inaugural events. To learn more, visit: http://www.pic2009.org/content/home/
