I am excited to hear of your interest in attending one of our nation's prestigious service academies. As you may know, admission to a service academy requires a nomination from an elected member of the Federal government.  I recommend going through my office as your primary source for a nomination.   To secure a nomination from my office, I will need the following,

• A copy of your high school transcripts.
• A copy of your SAT and/or ACT scores.(The SAT's should be taken no later than June)
• A list of your extracurricular, community, and athletic activities in which you are now involved.
• At least three written references from individuals who are not relatives.
• A visual acuity report.
• A written statement of whatever length you choose describing why you wish to attend the Academy.
• Please enclose your date of birth, birthplace, telephone number, address, socialsecurity number, and the names of your parents.

Please forward all of the above information to Jeanette Lindsay in my district office. Neglecting to do this will automatically eliminate you from consideration. I will make use of the aforementioned information, the pre-candidate's evaluation information, and the recommendations of my Citizen's Review Board in helping me to determine my nominations.
