"I am thrilled to announce this very important grant award," said Congresswoman Gillibrand, a Member of the House Committee on Agriculture.  "The quality of our water infrastructure is critical to the health and well-being of our communities."

Town of Schroon Supervisor Cathy Moses said, "We are just very grateful to Congresswoman Gillibrand for her help because we cannot afford to pass that expense on to the tax payers.  The money that we will be receiving with this grant will allow us to complete this much needed water treatment plant."

The project, which will serve over 600 residents, will correct documented sewage disposal problems that the community has faced in the past.
