Rep. Gillibrand to host Town Hall Forum on Economic Development | Print |

HUDSON, NY – Congresswoman Kirsten Gillibrand today announced that she will hold her fourth town hall forum on Saturday, April 14 th in Greene County. The topic of the forum will be economic development. 

Joining the Congresswoman for the forum will be several experts on economic development who will give technical advice on setting up a successful small business in Upstate New York and how best to take advantage of available state and federal tax credits.

In addition to discussing economic development in Upstate New York, the Congresswoman will be on hand to report on the work of the 110th Congress and her first 100 days in office.   The Congresswoman encourages local residents to come out to meet her and ask questions regarding economic development and the important issues that affect our community.

ABOUT: Prior to her election Congresswoman Gillibrand promised to hold Town Hall meetings in each of the ten counties she represents open to the public and the media at least once a month. Since January, Representative Gillibrand has held issue based Town Hall forums at a VFW Hall in Saratoga Springs, the Rhinebeck Town Hall, and the Hyde Museum in Glens Falls. 

Congresswoman Gillibrand believes accountability and accessibility to the communities she serves is very important to being an effective Representative and is committed to both. In addition, to these issue-focused forums; other outreach programs, include Congress At Your Corner events at local grocery stores, bookstores, and places where people across the ten different counties eat, shop, and move through their busy lives.
