Tom Carper | United States Senator for Delaware E-mail Senator Carper

Assistance with Federal Agencies

Responding to the needs of Delawareans has always been my top priority. As your senator, I am your advocate with the federal government. If you have a problem with a federal agency, please contact my staff in the state office nearest you. They will work together and with the agency involved to review and resolve the matter as quickly as possible.

Over the years, I have helped residents of Delaware resolve problems involving the Social Security Administration, the Department of State, the Department of Agriculture, the Small Business Administration, the Veterans Administration, the Internal Revenue Service, the U.S. Postal Service, Military Services, and the Department of Housing and Urban Development, to name a few.

When you call, e-mail, write or fax any one of my offices with an issue involving a federal government agency, please be prepared to provide the details surrounding the issue. Please also note that a staff member will request that this matter be sent to the office in writing because of privacy reasons. Many federal agencies will not release information to my staff without written consent from the constituent.

My staff will take the steps necessary to contact the federal agency and get answers to your questions or concerns in a timely manner.
