Inaugural Parade and Balls

Unfortunately, our office does not receive tickets to the Inaugural Parade or Inaugural Balls. Please see the website above with questions on these events. The Inaugural Parade, which takes place after the Swearing-In Ceremony, will be open to the public and does not require tickets. The Armed Forces Inaugural Committee will be accepting requests from individuals and groups who wish to participate in the parade. Please see their website at http://www.afic.northcom.mil/ for more information.

Inaugural Balls will be coordinated by the Presidential Inaugural Committee, which has not yet been established.

Inaugural Swearing-In Ceremony

A limited number of tickets to the Inaugural Swearing-In Ceremony, which will be held on January 20, 2009, will be distributed to each Congressional office by the Inaugural Committee. This is the only Inaugural event to which our office will receive tickets. Our office has not yet learned how many tickets we will receive, or when they will be made available for distribution. However, we have developed a waiting list for constituents interested in obtaining tickets. Please note that we have been receiving ticket requests for over a year and have developed quite an extensive waiting list. In order to be placed on the waiting list, please send an email to:
tickets_webb@webb.senate.gov
that includes your name, mailing address, phone number, email address, and the number of tickets you wish to request, keeping in mind that the number of tickets will be limited in order to accommodate as many Virginians as possible.

Tickets to the Swearing-In Ceremony will be free and can only be obtained through a congressional office. Tickets will be required for all individuals entering through the gate, including children. Accommodations will be made for disabled individuals when tickets are distributed.
