The online Catalog of Federal Domestic Assistance (CFDA)
This website is a catalogue of all federal grants that are available to a variety of organizations, state and local governments, specialized groups, and individuals. If you are looking for a Grant, this website would be a great starting point.
Grants.gov
This site provides all the necessary information to find and apply for federal government grants. Grants.gov is governed and funded by 26 Federal grant-making agencies. If you are looking for government grants that are specifically tailored to you, this site is a useful resource. You can also sign up for new grant announcements and award announcements.
United States House of Representatives Federal Funds Express
Information for researching grant opportunities, procurement, and other resources on the Internet.
GrantsNet
Clearinghouse of information for grant opportunities in the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
The Grantsmanship Center
Offers training courses in grant writing and negotiation to nonprofit organizations to teach grant seekers how to draft proposals that will be competitive and potentially successful against other proposals.
Small Business Administration of New Mexico
Provides SBA services across the state, including counseling and advice on starting a small business, credits and loans to get small businesses started, and services with a particular emphasis on minority-owned small businesses.
Federal Business Opportunities
The single government point-of-entry for Federal government procurement opportunities over $25,000. Through one portal commercial vendors seeking Federal markets for their products and services can search, monitor and retrieve opportunities solicited by the entire Federal contracting community.
Grant Research
If you can't find the answer to your questions on-line, our New Mexico delegation office can do a database search of federal grant money that might be available.
To help you search, you will need to provide the following information in 2 pages or less:
• Describe your project in detail
• Explain how any federal grant money would be used
• The name and type of your organization (school, non-profit organization, corporation etc.)
• Your address
• Contact name
• Telephone number, fax, and e-mail

Letters of Support
I am often asked to support grant applications and I'm happy to do so. I'll need the following information at least two weeks before the due date:
- Name of agency applying for grant
- Address of agency
- Contact Person
- Phone
- Title or position at agency
- Name of grant for which you are applying
- Name of your project
- Names of contact person and agency address to whom letter of support should be sent
- Deadline for letter of support
I will also need one page or less answering the following:
- What does your program/project do?
- Who does it serve?
- Why is your project important to New Mexico?
- Will your project create or sustain any jobs in New Mexico?
- How specifically will the grant money will be used?
