The Full Nelson

The History
This year the Senate Softball League rings in forty years of Capitol Hill camaraderie. The weekly games offer Senate offices a chance to work together to pass something other than laws – softballs.

The Full Nelson team is a hybrid of staff from the two Senators Nelson ( Nebraska’s Senator Ben Nelson and Florida Senator Bill Nelson). This year, The Full Nelson is batting to defend their Division Champs title.

The Schedule

After falling behind 9-1 at the end of the 2nd inning, the Full Nelson rallied to beat the Dam It (Army Corps of Engineers) by a score of 21-19. Displaying the determination that led to a Division title last year, the Full Nelson staged a furious comeback and was able to pull out the game on the strength of an 8-run 4th inning.
