the Subcommittee on Elections
Ms. Lofgren was appointed Chairwoman of the Subcommittee on Elections on February 14, 2007. As Chair of the Subcommittee on Elections, Representative Lofgren is dedicated to holding hearings on the issues and keeping the federal agencies responsible for the administration of our elections accountable for their actions.
Chairwoman Lofgren has served in the House of Representatives since 1994, representing the 16th Congressional District of California. In addition to her leadership on the Subcommittee on Elections, Representative Lofgren also chairs the House Judiciary’s Subcommittee on Immigration, Citizenship, Refugees, Border Security and International Law as well as California’s Democratic Congressional Delegation.
