Committee Holds Hearing on Impact of Proposed Legislation on the District of Columbia’s Gun Laws

The Committee held a hearing titled, “Impact of Proposed Legislation on the District of Columbia’s Gun Laws” on Tuesday, September 9, 2008, in 2154 Rayburn House Office Building. A preliminary transcript of this hearing is now available.

The hearing examined the changes to the District of Columbia’s gun laws proposed in H.R. 6691, including how these changes affect the ability of law enforcement and homeland security agencies to fulfill their responsibilities.
