Washington, DC -- Congressman Bob Latta (R-Bowling Green) is pleased to announce the House of Representatives has approved $2 million in funding for the Ohio Army National Guard Camp Perry Training Site in Port Clinton, Ohio. The $2 million, contained within H.R. 6599, The Military Construction and Veterans Affairs Fiscal Year 2009 Appropriations Bill, will provide the funds necessary to build an 80-bed barracks facility at Camp Perry.
“Camp Perry serves as an important training facility for the Ohio National Guard and host to national shooting matches. This funding will provide much needed improvements to ensure our soldiers have the best facilities possible,” Latta said following final passage of the bill from the House of Representatives.
