Congressman Tierney is a senior member of the Committee on Education and Labor and currently serves on the Subcommittee on Higher Education, Lifelong Learning and Competitiveness and the Subcommittee on Health, Employment, Labor and Pensions. As a member of the Committee on Education and Labor, Congressman Tierney plays a leading role in helping to strengthen America’s middle class. Congressman Tierney has fought to improve our education system at all levels and to enhance workforce programs to better equip and train workers of all ages. Congressman Tierney has also fought to strengthen and protect our pensions system for retirees, those contemplating retirement and those future generations of retirees who are just now entering the workforce.
