Nomination Procedure
To begin your academy nomination application file, please complete the application form and return it to my office. In order to complete your file in time for consideration, you will need to submit the following items by November 1.
| _____1) | Application for Nomination and photograph |
| _____2) | Copy of your high school transcript, including the first term of grade 12, when available |
| _____3) | List of extra-curricular activities; employment |
| _____4) | Copy of your SAT and /or ACT score reports. |
| _____5) | Three letters of recommendation. One of these must be from a principal, dean or teacher or guidance counselor at your high school or college. |
Applicants who have completed their files by the specified date will be interviewed by my Academy Selection Committee in late November.
Interviews are held in my district office. Applicants will receive notice as to the exact date and time of the interview after the November 1 deadline.
All applicants will receive notification of whether they have been selected for a nomination. Nominees will learn directly from the academies if they have been offered an appointment.
Please keep this sheet for your files and check off each item as it is submitted to my office. Should you at some time decide not to pursue your request for nomination, please let me know so that my office may close your file.
