The American flag has long been a powerful symbol of our nation's unity and democratic ideals. Americans have shared this symbol in good times, and in tough times, through laughter and tears.

Presenting a flag that has been flown over the United States Capitol is found by many to be a patriotic way of honoring an individual or organization. Each flag is accompanied by a certificate showing when it was flown over the Capitol and for what occasion, making it a good retirement, birthday, anniversary or congratulatory gift.
