Tours

If you are visiting Washington, D.C. in the near future, my office can help arrange tours of the Capitol, government buildings, or other historic sites for you. To submit a request please fill out the form on this page. If you need to submit a written request, please make sure to include your name, address and phone number, the places you would like to visit, the number of tickets you want, your dates of travel, and the ages of any children attending. If you have any questions you may also contact the office by phone at (202) 224-6324.

  • U.S. Capitol Building

My office is happy to provide staff-led tours of the Capitol for constituents. We provide tours Monday through Friday (excluding Federal Holidays) at 10:00am and 2:00pm. Tours generally last approximately 90 minutes and include the Senate Gallery when Congress is in session. We ask that you please submit your requests at least two week in advance. Please contact my office if your group size exceeds 15 people.

Saturday self-led tours are provided from 9:00am to 3:30pm and last roughly 30-45 minutes. Time stamped kiosk stickers are required for entry and are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis beginning at 9:00am. The kiosk is located directly adjacent to the Capitol at 1st Street and Maryland Avenue, SW (which is also known as Garfield Circle). There are no tours provided on Sundays.

    White House

Self-guided tours of the White House are available Tuesday through Saturday (excluding Federal holidays) from 7:30am to 12:30pm. Please keep this in mind when listing dates that you are available for the tour. Tours generally last approximately 45 minutes. Due to the fact that demand often exceeds availability, we are unable to guarantee requested tours. It is strongly recommended that you submit your request 4 to 6 months in advance (closer to 6 months for peak tour season, which is from April to August). Please be aware that the White House performs background checks on all tour attendees.
