Washington, DC – Rep. Darrell Issa made the following statement on the decision of Rep. Roy Blunt not to seek reelection as Republican Whip:

 

“Roy Blunt has capably served House Republicans as Whip.  We will miss his steady leadership and owe him our gratitude for his years of commitment and sacrifice on behalf of our conference.    Roy is a mentor and friend to me and many Republican members and we will continue to look to him as a voice of leadership.  I look forward to working with him in the 111^th Congress.”
