Phi Nguyen

The American dream is not just a dream for House photographer Phi Nguyen. It’s a reality. After escaping Vietnam’s Communist regime in 1975, Nguyen headed for America and landed a job with the Senate as a photographer, then later joined the House of Representatives, where he has been working for the past five years. “America gave me the opportunity to do my job. I get to meet different people from different cultures, and I get to meet Members of Congress.” Nguyen’s career in photography started as a hobby when he picked up the skill working for his high school newspaper and yearbook in the 1980s. Nguyen is married to Tam. They have one daughter and one son, and reside in Falls Church, Virginia.

“The thing I would miss the most is all the people I have met over the years working for the CAO.”
