Internships

Thank you for inquiring about the internship program in my United States Senate offices. Your interest in politics and public policy is commendable. My office receives an overwhelming number of applications from many highly qualified students, which makes the selection process very difficult. I encourage you to formally apply for an internship by completing the application that is available on-line. Thank you.

Please note: Due to enhanced security procedures, mail delivery to the Capitol complex is delayed by approximately three (3) weeks. Applicants are asked to send only one application either by mail or by fax. Because of the number of applications my office receives, my staff members are not able to return calls to confirm receipt of applications.

Deadlines for applications:

For all summer internships: April 15

For fall semester internships: August 1

For spring semester internships: November 15

Please attach a copy of your resume with a cover letter, a writing sample, and a list of three (non-family members) references. You must be at least 18 years of age to apply for an internship.
