Small Business |
We depend on our small business community to fuel the economy of Florida and the nation. In fact, Florida has an estimated 1,942,200 small businesses which employ almost 50% of Florida's workforce. As a member of the House Financial Services Committee, I am committed to ensuring that Congress provides Florida's small business owners with the tools they need to be competitive in the global marketplace. This page provides information about the most recent small business legislation as well as resources for small business owners.
The Small business Tax Relief Act, which was recently signed into law, is an important step to helping small businesses obtain these tools. The tax provisions included in the Small Business Tax Relief Act will be in effect beginning in the next fiscal year; therefore, information concerning these provisions should be available by December 31, 2007. For additional information including effective dates for specific provisions click here.
