As a resident of the 2nd Congressional District, you may contact my Colorado office to receive information or help in dealing with a federal government agency.
My Colorado office has specialists who can help guide constituents through the process of receiving help and answers from federal agencies. My staff may be able to answer basic questions over the phone. If your situation requires more than an answer to a question, a specialist may initiate a congressional inquiry on your behalf. The federal agencies that my staff works with regularly are:
Social Security
Department of Defense
Veterans Administration
U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development
Small Business Administration
HCFA/Medicare
Internal Revenue Service
Immigration and Naturalization Service.
Any Other Federal Agency
The Privacy Act of 1974 requires congressional offices to obtain written permission from an individual before a federal agency can release any specific information to the Congressman. If you send a letter requesting help, SIGN IT, include your Social Security number or case/file number, and attach any necessary documentation. Because a signature is required, please do not e-mail your correspondence. For assistance, you may write or fax my District office in Westminster.
