Boyda Announces Military Academy Recruits from Second District
04/17/07WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congresswoman Nancy Boyda today announced the names of eight residents of the Kansas Second Congressional District who have been accepted into U.S. service academies. The eight high school seniors were nominated by the Second District Congressional office as a part of their application process.
Boyda said, “These eight exceptional students represent the very best that Kansas has to offer, both in their outstanding scholarship and in their dedication to our country. I congratulate them on their acceptance into the service academies, and I wish them the very best in their service to the United States.”
United States Air Force Academy:
Mario Calabro, Topeka
Tyler Ringwald, Iola
Rumeal Standeifer, Leavenworth
United States Naval Academy:
Alainia Moomau, Topeka
Craig Moore, Wellsville
Joseph Muiller, Lawrence
United States Military Academy:
Kyle Raymond Cobb, Fort Riley
Rachel Anna-Marie Lopez, Paola
Cadets will undergo a week of intensive orientation this summer before beginning their studies in the fall.
