White House Tours: How Do I Request a White House Tour?

Please read all of the important information below. Unfortunately, tour requests that do not follow these guidelines will not be accommodated by the White House.

For security measures please contact by the office with your Social Security Number.

Submit Your Request Early

Requests are accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis, starting 6 months in advance. As a minimum, the White House requires requests to be made a minimum of six weeks in advance, and consequently your request must be submitted to my DC office at least seven weeks in advance.

However, because the White House is never able to accommodate the volume of requests they receive, I recommend that you make your requests as early as possible and as close to the 6 month mark as possible.

The White House schedules tours approximately 3 weeks before the requested date and notifies my office accordingly with whether the request was accepted and scheduled or unable to be accommodated. You should expect to hear from my office approximately 2-3 weeks before your requested tour date. All tour scheduling is the exclusive prerogative of the White House and cannot be altered either in acceptance status, date, time, or number of persons on the tour. Also, all tours are subject to last minute cancellations due to official events, please be sure to provide an accurate contact phone number for yourself while you are traveling so my staff will be able to reach you in this unfortunate event.

Submit Accurate Security Information

All individuals visiting the White House will be screened for security purposes prior to their visit. Your request for a tour must include the names, social security numbers, dates of birth and countries of origin for each visitor. Please submit this information on my White House Tour Request Form below. It is important that the information is accurate or it may delay or negate your tour. Please double check your information before sending.
