Congress in Your Inbox - Give Thanks to Our Troops
11/20/07Dear Friend,
Later this week, people across Kansas will gather with our family and friends to recognize Thanksgiving Day. We'll step away from our busy lives and pause, if only briefly, to give thanks for what matters most: our liberty, our freedom, our safety and our security.
For all of these blessings, we owe our deepest thanks to America's soldiers.
Even as we gather around our dinner tables with our loved ones, our soldiers will remain hard at work. They'll be on duty in Iraq and Afghanistan and at other bases around the world, risking their lives to protect our freedom.
Since our troops can't join us this Thanksgiving, let's all take a moment to reach out to them. Just click this link to deliver your personal thanks to an American soldier stationed overseas.
