"Notes from Nancy" is an occasional column for this website. Each edition addresses an issue of importance to the Kansas Second Congressional District.

Recently, a bipartisan majority of Congress voted to renew the State Children's Health Insurance Program (SCHIP), which provides critical help to working families who have no other way to afford health insurance for their kids.  In light of the president's veto of the children's health program, the debate on SCHIP has grown heated and, at times, filled with inaccuracies and distortions.

So that visitors to this website have all the facts on SCHIP, my office has compiled a document called "Seven simple truths about Congress’s SCHIP reauthorization bill."  I've attached the document below, and I hope you'll find it informative as the debate about children's health care continues.
