House Labor Committee Issues Subpoena for Labor Department Communications Regarding Crandall Canyon Mine

WASHINGTON, DC -- The House Education and Labor Committee today issued a subpoena to U.S. Labor Secretary Elaine Chao for Department communications related to the August 6 disaster at the Crandall Canyon Mine in Utah. The Committee first requested the communications in August, but has still not received them.  As a last resort, to compel and expedite this production of information, the Committee issued its subpoena today.
