Chairman Miller Statement on Death of Congressman Norwood

WASHINGTON, DC -- U.S. Rep. George Miller (D-CA), chairman of the House Education and Labor Committee, issued the following statement today on the passing of Congressman Charlie Norwood (R-GA). Norwood was a longtime member of the committee and a former chairman of its Subcommittee on Workforce Protections.

"I am very sorry to hear about the passing of Charlie Norwood, who waged a long battle against illness with courage and humility. Congressman Norwood was a good and tough opponent. My thoughts and prayers are with his family today."
