EDWARDS, Marvin Henry (Mickey), a Representative from Oklahoma; born in Cleveland, Cuyahoga County,
Ohio, July 12, 1937; attended the public schools; B.A., University of Oklahoma,
1958; J.D., Oklahoma City University Law School, 1969; admitted to the Oklahoma
bar in 1970 and commenced practice in Oklahoma City; newspaper reporter and
editor, 1958-1963; engaged in advertising and public relations, 1963-1968;
magazine editor, 1968-1973; author; special legislative consultant, Republican
Steering Committee, Washington, D.C., 1973-1974; instructor of law and
journalism, Oklahoma City University, 1976; elected as a Republican to the
Ninety-fifth and to the seven succeeding Congresses (January 3, 1977-January 3,
1993); unsuccessful candidate for renomination in 1992 to the One Hundred Third
Congress; is a resident of Oklahoma City, Okla.
