Welcome to the website of the House Committee on Homeland Security. As the new Chairman, I will be providing you with an array of Committee information, reports and news throughout this site. You can also learn a bit more about our Committee, its Membership, and our priorities. The Committee's website will also act as a resource for information on hearings, markups, and legislation. We will be updating the site as frequently as possible to keep you informed of what we are working on.
The 110th Congress provides a lot of hope for strengthening the state of our homeland security – and despite the bipartisan strides we have made in the past, we begin this Congress with a number of priorities that aim to make America as safe as it can be. We will start our work with the “9/11 Bill” which will enact recommendations from the 9/11 Commission – resolving issues from interoperability to nuclear materials – which needed to be addressed.
