Press Release of Senator Lugar Lugar welcomes $57 million in disaster assistance funding Monday, October 27, 2008 U.S. Sen. Dick Lugar today welcomed the Department of Housing and Urban Development’s (HUD) announcement that Indiana will receive the final $57 million in Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program funding.   This funding is part of the $2.65 billion in disaster assistance for Indiana and other Midwestern states that Lugar supported on June 26, 2008.   “Today’s announcement will help many Indiana communities continue efforts to rebuild their homes, businesses and communities,” Lugar said.   Lugar welcomed the initial $10 million in CDBG funding on August 4, 2008.   ###
