GENERAL INFORMATION

Principals from every high school in Indiana have been asked to select two junior students to attend the Symposium for Tomorrow's Leaders at the University of Indianapolis on December 13. Last year, nearly 500 students participated.  Where transportation problems for the students exist, high school faculty members and parents have been invited to attend the Symposium.

REGISTER NOW FOR PREFERRED MINI-SESSIONS!!!

Students should review carefully the list and descriptions of mini-session topics on the left. They should select three topics that most interest them. Since mini-sessions are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis, please submit your registration form quickly to receive your preferred topics.

WHAT NEXT?

A letter confirming the students’ registrations will be sent directly to them. It will include information to assist them in preparing for the event. A schedule for the day, a campus map and directions to the University will also be included.

DAY OF THE SYMPOSIUM

Registration will begin at 9:30 a.m. (EST) on December 13 and the day's activities will conclude at 4:30 p.m.

A complimentary lunch will be provided to all Symposium participants. The only cost to students who attend the Symposium will be normal travel expenses.

Following an address by Senator Lugar, each participant will attend his/her two mini-sessions. Each mini-session will last approximately 75 minutes and be conducted by experts on the subject. The format for most sessions will feature two experts presenting opposing viewpoints, followed by an informal discussion.
