Washington, DC Congressional Tours 

*People from all over the country and world visit Washington, DC to explore major tourists attractions including the White House and US Capitol; but DC residents have the opportunity to explore these attractions on a daily basis.  Congresswoman Norton's office arranges congressional tours for the following federal buildings:

Bureau of Engraving & Printing

  • The Bureau of Engraving & Printing offers tours on Monday through Friday at 8:15am and 8:45am.  Congressional offices can only reserve ten people per day, so groups larger than ten have to request different potential tours dates. Click here to access the request form.

Department of Treasury

  • Tours of the Department of Treasury are offered on Saturday's only at various times between 9:00am and 11:15am.  All visitors must complete the request form and security form, before a tour can be arranged. (The Department of Treasury will be conducting the last 2008 tour on Saturday, December 20th and spaces are filling quickly.  The Treasury Department will be closed in January and February of 2009 and resume tours in March 2009.)

Pentagon

  • Tour requests for the Pentagon must be submitted at least 14 days in advance and up to three months in advance.  Tours are offered on Monday through Friday from 9am-3pm.  All tours begin and end at the Pentagon Metro Station.  In order to place a request, groups must complete the request form, and the pentagon security roster.

US Capitol

  • The opening of the new Capitol Visitors Center on December 2, 2008 will fully enhance the U.S. Capitol tour experience.  For more information regarding requesting a US Capitol tour, click here

White House

  • The White House offers various public events throughout the year including: the Easter Egg Hunt in the Spring, Garden tours in the Summer, and Christmas tree lighting in the Winter.  Tours of the White House involve viewing the East Executive wing only, and can be arranged by clicking here
