On Tuesday, September 16, 2008, House Majority Whip James E. Clyburn along with House leadership urged Congress to pass the Comprehensive Energy Security and Consumer Protection Act, a home-grown, American-owned energy policy for the 21st century.

Majority Whip Clyburn joins Speaker Pelosi on November 20, 2008 as she signs and sends to the President legislation that was passed by Congress to extend unemployment benefits.  President Bush signed the bill into law on November 21, 2008

Clyburn stands with House Speaker Pelosi and Senate Majority Leader Reid as the Congress finishes its business for the year to discuss the accomplishments of the New Direction Congress.
