April 18, 2007 Saratoga Springs, NY - On Saturday, April 21st 2007; Congresswoman Kirsten E. Gillibrand will hold a ribbon cutting of the her Congressional District Office in Saratoga Springs, NY. The Congresswoman will also present local Ballston Spa student, Samuel S. Perkins, with the Congressional Award for Service for his work in the Veterans community. "One of my most important tasks as a Congresswoman is providing assistance to local residents in their dealings with the federal government agencies. My staff and I are available in the district office to help with Social Security retirement, survivors, disability and Social Security Income (SSI) benefits," said Gillibrand, a member of the House Armed Services Committee. "We can also provide information on eligibility for Medicare and Medicaid programs and assist with reimbursement difficulties to ensure that Veterans receive the benefits they have earned."
