Rep. Gillibrand and Anderson Center for Autism to host meeting for rural families affected by Autism | Print |

Hudson - Today, local Congresswoman Kirsten Gillibrand announced that, in coordination with the Anderson Center for Autism, she will be holding a community meeting for families in Columbia, Greene and Northern Dutchess counties that affected by autism. The meeting will be this Saturday, March 29, 2008 at the Hudson Opera House. The Opera House is located at 325 Warren Street in Hudson, NY.

The goal of the meeting is to solicit local input in an effort to develop an outreach program that serves the needs of our rural communities.

The Anderson School is very interested in expanding its service to Columbia and Greene counties. Congresswoman Gillibrand believes strongly that in order to develop a program that is designed with families needs in mind, input from the community is vital.

Unlike, her traditional town hall meetings, this meeting will be specifically tailored to discuss the challenges rural families face in dealing with Autism.
