Hudson,NY- Today, local Congresswoman Kirsten Gillibrand (NY-20) announced that she will hold a town hall meeting this Wednesday, March 26, 2008 at 12:00pm at the Brunswick Elk’s Lodge. The topic of the forum will be Rising Costs of Taxes on Upstate Families.
Taxpayers from the twentieth district can hear about a bill Congresswoman Gillibrand is sponsoring which would help local taxpayers save money on their property taxes. In addition, experts will be on hand to give tips on how to save money on federal taxes.
“After years of rising property taxes, increased health care costs, and skyrocketing gas prices, relieving the tax pressures on our families in Upstate New York needs to be a priority in Congress”, said Congresswoman Gillibrand.
The Congresswoman encourages local residents to come out to meet her and share their opinions and concerns on such an important issue facing so many families in the region.
