Please note: The deadline for requesting inauguration tickets from the Vermont Congressional delegation has passed.

Due to overwhelming demand for tickets to President-elect Obama's inauguration, the offices of Senator Patrick Leahy, Senator Bernie Sanders and Congressman Peter Welch will be conducting a joint lottery to allocate tickets to those Vermonters who submitted requests by December 1. It is important to note that many of the viewing areas for both the parade and swearing-in ceremony will be open to the public at large. Crowds will be large and accommodations hard to come by, but all who would like to participate in this historic event should feel welcome to visit Washington, D.C., for the occasion.
