State of Vermont Seasonal Fuel Assistance Program

The State of Vermont administers the Seasonal Fuel Assistance Program based on income and resources.   Residents complete an application for assistance in July/August.  If applicants are approved, funds are given directly to their fuel supplier in the fall.

Weatherization Programs

Vermont's weatherization program helps low income residents - particularly older Vermonters, people with disabilities, and families with children - save fuel and money by improving the energy efficiency of their homes.

            Emergency Fuel Assistance Programs

Emergency Fuel Assistance provides financial support to help residents with their fuel bills.

Efficiency Vermont

Efficiency Vermont provides information on home energy savings, rebates for selected energy-efficient products, access to reduced-rate financing for home energy improvements and links to certified "Home Performance with ENERGY STAR" contractors. For businesses, Efficiency Vermont provides technical assistance to improve energy efficiency, as well as access to financing and financial incentives for certain efficiency measures.

The Home Energy Saver is designed by the U.S. Department of Energy and the Environmental Protection Agency to help consumers identify the best ways to save energy in their homes.

This non-profit works to provide the up-to-date information you need to reduce energy use in your home.
