Congressman Thompson Announces $591,000 in

Farm Bill 2008 Funding for Copiah-New Zion Water

Association in Copiah County


BOLTON, MISSISSIPPIToday, United States Representative Bennie G. Thompson (D-MS) announced that the United States Department of Agriculture Rural Development 2008 Farm Bill Funding has approved $265,000 in grant funds and an additional $326,000 in loan funds for the Copiah-New Zion Water Association.  The funds will be used to purchase a new elevated water storage tank, to reduce well run times during peak demand periods.
