Congressman Thompson Announces $2.8 Million in USDA Funds for the East Madison Water Association in Madison County


BOLTON, MISSISSIPPIToday, United States Representative Bennie G. Thompson (D-MS) announced that the United States Department of Agriculture Rural Development has made a 40 year $1 million dollar guaranteed loan and $1.8 million dollar loan to the East Madison Water Association.

 

The Rural Development funds will be used to repaint four storage tanks, purchase a new 500 GPM well, a new elevated storage tank, and to install water mains to upgrade for improvement of the hydraulic system.  The project will upgrade service for 2,610 existing users, provide for future growth potential and better fire protection and meet the demands of a growing area.
