Washington, DC -- U.S. Rep. Ron Klein (FL-22) Monday announced that his Palm Beach County and Broward County district offices will begin collecting toys that will be distributed to needy children throughout the holiday season. The toy drive will begin Monday, November 13th and will end Friday, December 14th. Toys may be dropped off between the hours of 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
“As we come together with family and friends to celebrate the upcoming holiday season, we must be mindful that thousands of families throughout Broward and Palm Beach counties cannot afford to give their children the holiday they deserve,” said Klein. “My staff and I want to do our part and make sure that every child throughout South Florida feels special and is able to celebrate this upcoming holiday season. I urge the public to do what they can, and contribute to our toy drive efforts.”
In Broward County, toys will be distributed through the “Choices” Foster Care Management Company, which is licensed through ChildNet. In Palm Beach County, toys will be distributed through Toys for Tots. Toys do not need to be wrapped.
