Washington, D.C. , Sep 30 -

Congresswoman Marilyn Musgrave spent Tuesday in Washington, D.C. talking with colleagues on both sides of the aisle and speaking with constituents who had left messages about the bailout at her district and Washington offices. “It is important for people around the country to know that we are actively working toward a solution to this problem,” said Musgrave. “I have been encouraged by conversations with my Congressional colleagues on both sides of the aisle and will continue to work with them to find a solution.”

Musgrave also spent part of Tuesday personally calling constituents that had contacted her with concerns about the proposed bailout. “It’s important to me that residents of the 4th District understand that I both hear about and understand their concerns,” Musgrave said.

Additionally, Musgrave joined a bi-partisan group of lawmakers, signing letter to SEC Chairman Chris Cox urging him to immediately require the SEC to suspend ‘Mark to Market’ accounting requirements.
