Social Security & Medicare
Social Security and Medicare are vital institutions that we must protect, as millions of Americans have had their lives changed for the better because of these initiatives.
With the oldest baby boomers preparing to retire in the next five to ten years, we must work to ensure that Social Security and Medicare remain solvent. We cannot risk the future of Social Security on privatization schemes; instead, we must strengthen its long-term financial foundation.
Medicare, moreover, is critical to providing older Americans with the security knowing that as they age, they can rest assured that they will have access to health care. This is especially true in this tough economy.
