My staff and I are delighted when fellow Iowans come to town, and we are ready to help make your stay as pleasant as possible.

I hope you will find the information in this section to be helpful in planning your visit to our nation's capital. We can mail a packet of information with maps and brochures to you to assist in planning your trip.

During your stay in Washington, I hope you will have the opportunity to drop by my office for information on area sites, get a tour of the capitol, or simply say hello. We are located in Room 1221 on the second floor of the Longworth House office Building, on Independence Avenue across from the Capitol.

Congressional Reserved Tours

With enough advance notice of your trip, my office may be able to obtain congressional reserved tours for you. All reservations are provided to residents of Iowa’s Second Congressional District on a first-come, first-served basis, and many tours are filled up to six months in advance. Therefore, constituents are encouraged to request tickets as early as possible.
