Join Me for My Swearing-In Ceremony

Dear Friend,

Let me start out by thanking you, again, for supporting me to be "rehired" as the 7th District's Congressman in the House of Representatives. You are cordially invited to attend my swearing-in reception, in Washington D.C. on Tuesday, January 6, 2009.

The reception will be in the James Madison Building, which is one of three buildings that make up the Library of Congress. There will be closed circuit televisions so you'll be able to watch me being sworn in on the House Floor. I would be quite honored if you could make it. Provided below are further details for the event, including RSVP and optional bus transportation information.

Swearing-in Ceremony

 

When: Tuesday, January 6, 2009

12:00 PM - 2:00 PM
Watch Congressman Joe Sestak's swearing-in ceremony on closed circuit television in the Madison Hall in the James Madison Building of the Library of Congress. Snacks and refreshments will be provided.

The Madison Building is located on Independence Avenue between 1st & 2nd streets. The room is the first to your left as you enter the building from Independence Avenue.

A catered lunch, hosted by Congressman Joe Sestak, will be served in the James Madison Hall, in the James Madison Building of the Library of Congress.

Throughout the day you are encouraged to visit the Congressional Office located in Room 1022 of the Longworth Building for an open-house, which is one block away from where the reception takes place. Please stop by for a tour of the office and frequent Capitol tours.

 

Optional Bus Transportation Information

 

Round-trip bus transportation will be available for $30 per person. Please make checks payable to "Sestak for Congress." These can be mailed to the office at: Sestak For Congress, PO Box 16, Media, PA 19063.

Or, feel free to stop by the office to drop it off, which is located at 428 East Baltimore Avenue in Media (open 8 A.M. - 6 P.M., Mon.-Fri.)

Further information on bus transportation will be provided to those reserving a seat.

(Note: Please feel free to make your own transportation arrangements, should you so desire.)
